Isaiah 58:7,8
Was able to bless a young, very skinny man who delivered our groceries today. He WAS skinny. I did not notice at first. I look at faces, eyes, that tell a story. Ourselves? How are we? My husband and I? We may be struggling to get his goals done with so many troubles back home, but this man? MORE. As he gathered our food, he offered to put them on my rolling cart which I always have ready for such a time. Then I thanked him and gave a $10 tip. Finished with the delivery, I slowly returned inside our home but, I came to a halt as in my mind a scene appeared. He was looking at some particular food of ours before he left? Quickly, I ran on one crutch, if you can imagine that, and offered the items of food to him. All. But he refused. My head dropped. Then I offered one roll up with chicken then two. YES! He graciously received. I was glad. I was surprised too! The food made him much happier! Was it because the food was given from my heart that spoke more volumes than that dollar bill?
Isaiah 57:7,8
Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.
After he left, I put the groceries away without my crutch. WHAT?
